The College of Santa Fe is hosting a national conference to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the production of the film, SALT OF THE EARTH - one of the most important and controversal films in American cinema history. The Conference will address various themes drawn from the movie including, workers' rights, the struggle of women for social and economic justice, and freedom of expression. Scholars, artists, filmakers, workers and students will come together to explore issues that are as resonant today as they were 50 years ago.
